Licences & credits

Good products are built on the generosity of others. DateSmarter uses open-source libraries, freely licensed fonts, licensed photography and a handful of trusted services. We list the main ones here, and we're genuinely grateful to the people and communities behind them.

This page covers attributions only. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and the rules for using DateSmarter live in our Terms of Service.

The DateSmarter apps (iOS and Android) and this website are built with open-source libraries, each provided under its own licence, commonly the MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD or ISC licences. Those licences grant us the right to use the software and ask us to preserve the original copyright and permission notices, which we do.

Because our software evolves, the most accurate and current list of components, with names, versions and licence text, is maintained inside the app at Settings → Licences. You can also request a copy by emailing info@datesmarter-ai.com.

Our type is set in three open-source typefaces, served through Google Fonts and used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1:

• Poppins, designed by Indian Type Foundry & Jonny Pinhorn
• Inter, designed by Rasmus Andersson
• DM Serif Display, by Colophon Foundry, for the DateSmarter wordmark

The SIL Open Font License permits use, study, modification and redistribution of the fonts, including in commercial products.

Photography on our website and marketing is used under licence. Lifestyle and stock imagery is sourced from Pexels and used under the Pexels License, which permits free use for commercial purposes without attribution.

Any additional licensed imagery, illustration or audio is credited where it appears or listed in the app at Settings → Licences. We don't use a person's likeness to imply they endorse DateSmarter.

DateSmarter relies on a small set of trusted providers. Each is governed by its own terms and privacy practices:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS), secure cloud hosting and storage
• Anthropic & Amazon Bedrock, the AI that powers in-chat conversation coaching
• RevenueCat, subscription billing, entitlements and purchase validation
• Apple App Store & Google Play, app distribution and in-app purchases
• Netlify, hosting for this website

We work with these providers under contracts that require them to protect your information. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.

All other product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners. Naming a third party on this page is an acknowledgement of their work, not a claim of affiliation. DateSmarter is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Match Group, Bumble Inc., or any other dating app.

We take attribution seriously. If you believe something here is incomplete, out of date, or that your work has been used without the proper credit or licence, email info@datesmarter-ai.com and we'll put it right.
