DateSmarter is free to start. Pro, Pro+ and Gold+ unlock more AI coaching and more ways to connect. Because plans are purchased through the App Store and Google Play, you manage and cancel them in your store account, here's everything you need.

Features and limits shown here reflect the current app and may be refined before launch. Prices are set per region by the App Store and Google Play, you'll always see your exact local price, in your own currency, before you confirm.

Manage or cancel

Change your plan in two taps

Your subscription is handled by the app store you bought it from, so that's where you change or cancel it. Pick your device:

On iPhone or iPad
  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap DateSmarter.
  4. Choose a different plan, or tap Cancel Subscription (scroll down if you don't see it).

You can also do this in the App Store: tap your profile photo → Subscriptions.

On Android
  1. Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile photo (top right).
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  3. Tap DateSmarter.
  4. Tap Manage to change your plan, or Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel a subscription, you'll need to cancel in Google Play.

Why here and not in DateSmarter? Apple and Google handle the payment, so only they can change or stop the billing. We can't cancel a store subscription on your behalf, but the steps above take less than a minute.

The questions everyone asks

When am I charged?

When you confirm a plan, and then automatically each period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Your store sends a receipt every time.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel whenever you like using the steps above. There's no cancellation fee and no need to contact us.

Do I keep access after I cancel?

Yes, you keep your paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your account simply returns to the free plan.

What about refunds?

We don't generally refund part-months, but nothing here limits your rights under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. Because Apple and Google process payments, refund requests usually go through them, and you can always reach us at info@datesmarter-ai.com. Full detail is in our Terms of Service.

Can I switch between Pro, Pro+ and Gold+?

Yes. Change plans anytime from your store's subscription settings (the steps above), or from the upgrade screen in the app.

Is there a free option?

Always. You can use DateSmarter free, match, message and get a daily taste of AI coaching. Upgrade only if and when more suggestions or reach would help.
