DateSmarter was born from a frustration every dating app user knows too well. Dating apps got brilliant at the match, then went quiet at the moment that decides everything: the empty chat after it. Great matches went nowhere, not for lack of chemistry, but because the right words would not come when they mattered most.
The match was never the hard part. The conversation is.
The match felt like progress. Then the blank message box won. The realisation was simple: people did not need more matches, they needed help having better conversations, as themselves. So we set out to build the app for the part everyone else ignores, the moment after the match. With the AI revolution making real-time help finally possible, Sergio knew this was the moment to build something different. That is when Hector joined.
As co-founder and technical architect, Hector brought deep R&D experience and a long history in technology development. He took the product concept from idea to reality, building the AI infrastructure that makes context-aware, real-time conversation coaching actually work.
Together, we are on a mission to help people turn good matches into real conversations, and real dates. Not by changing who you are, by helping you show what you have always been: a real person with real feelings and plenty of love to share. The AI is how we help. It is not what we are. We are for everyone who gets the matches and then freezes at the words.

We are launching July 2026, currently in private beta with early users who are already experiencing the difference between struggling through conversations and actually connecting.
