Why we built DateSmarter

DateSmarter was born from a frustration every dating app user knows too well. Sergio, our co-founder, spent years on dating apps and noticed a painful pattern: great matches that went nowhere. Not because of lack of chemistry, but because conversations died in boring “interview questions”, “What do you do?” “Where are you from?” “What are your hobbies?”

Sergio realised users didn’t need more matches. They needed help having better conversations. With the AI revolution making real-time coaching finally possible, he knew this was the moment to build something different: a personal dating coach in your corner, helping you be more confident and authentic. That’s when Hector joined the movement.

As co-founder and technical architect, Hector brought deep R&D experience and a long history in technology development. He took the product concept from idea to reality, building the AI infrastructure that makes context-aware, real-time conversation coaching actually work.

Together, we’re on a mission to help people turn good matches into real conversations, and real dates. Not by changing who you are, by enhancing what you’ve always been: a real person with real emotions and plenty of love to share. We help you show that authentic self, without the anxiety, without the overthinking, without the boring questions.

We are launching July 2026, currently in private beta with early users who are already experiencing the difference between struggling through conversations and actually connecting.
